Wasn't sure wether to post this in Hardware or here so just chose here because it seemed to have more traffic. Computer was running fine last night but when I got home today and turned it on it started but nothing displayed on my monitor. Monitor is working as i tested it with my laptop. We have workers at my home right now and my mom said that they were messing with he fusebox/switches in my basement. So hopefully my mobo or something didn't get shorted and is dead. I tried reseating my RAM and rewiring cpu/gpu power. Not sure what else I could try or test, going to be taking it to my local micro center tomorrow so hopefully it is fully working. Any tips/ideas would be awesome.

barney_burgerbeansIf you haven't already, unplug everything coming from your PSU, then plug it all back in - especially the 24 pin mobo power cord. If you don't have your mobo mic attached, attach it so you can hear if it beeps an error code. If it does look that shit up and it'll tell you what's wrong. If your PC is plugged into a surge protector nothing should have shorted out.

I unplugged and plugged back in all of the wires from my PSU going to my Mobo/GPU, and was able to get it to start but not past the bios page? (page where it tells you the info about your cpu) it says to press f1 to start normally for f2 to do something else, i tried pressing f1 and f2 and nothing happened. Restarted the computer a few more times and nothing. Anything i should try next?
