Out of the blue today, my game started when connecting to servers. (happens every time I try to connect) I cannot even create a private server by "map (mapname)".

I have:
1) verified local files
2) removed my cfg/autoexec/launch options
3) reinstalled tf2
4) checked to make sure windows firewall allowed all programs related to steam
all with no success.

What should I do?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled your graphics drivers? I was having horrible crashing issues in other games, and reinstalling them fixed it. It can't hurt

do you have any other source based games like cs? Try connecting to a server in that.

Rename your /custom folder so that doesn't affect your game, try the -default launch option?

Rename your /custom folder so that doesn't affect your game, try the -default launch option?
