Can't sign in to steam. When I try it takes about five minutes and then says there was a connect error. I can start up in offline mode and games are still there, but I can't check on anything else. Profile link is saying I haven't set up profile. Also isn't working on my phone. I know that steam is working right now obviously, and my roommate who shares my internet is on steam right now.

I took a look on a friend's friends list and it's happening to lots of people so I don't think I got hacked, or maybe I did who knows. Anyone experiencing this as well or found any solutions?

steam servers are down for me right now (which could be related), but one of my friends is having the same situation.
i had a similar (kinda not really) situation where i couldn't log in because it told me i didn't have permission or something stupid.
