Guys,
Kevinispwn went through a lot of effort to get pro players lined up and ready to answer your questions in a panel style discussion on high level TF2. The only problem is, only 5 people have signed up so far. If you have IM experience (even one season!) and want to ask questions from some of the best minds in TF2, please sign up!

its from 7:00 to 8:30pm EST TONIGHT

I'm really confused by this. With TF2 having a smaller comp. scene than most e-sports, IM can already be considered high level. Sure, they may not be the best, but there are only 100 or so IM starters this season, and possibly 400 or so people who have IM experience and are active in the community. With so few people, it would be silly to think that there is a majority of people who aren't already friends with at least one Invite player.

Whole point is, I don't think you'll fill a class in 10 hours unless you lax the requirements to Open.

Thanks for the post, but I want to clarify that it was sideshow that did just about all the recruitment of these fantastic panelists. Looking forward to this afternoon, guys!

I know couple guys who do not have High+ experience that are very strategically competent, but lack in execution and contacts in High+ teams. I believe there are many smart players in ESEA Open and ETF2L mid, but to make the whole thing worthwhile you'd need to trust people with their own consideration which might end up going wrong.

brrtonSure, they may not be the best, but there are only 100 or so IM starters this season, and possibly 400 or so people who have IM experience and are active in the community.

The idea is that it keeps the discussion at a very good level on on both sides. Rather than pick and choose which open players would be able to participate in the event (keep in mind open covers every skill range from no experience to almost-im experience), we just set the requirement at IM/High. Should the class not fill up, the requirements will shrink about an hour before the event, but I'm hoping this doesn't have to happen. There are also well over 200 starters in ESEA-IM and ETF2L-High right now. Hundreds and hundreds more with past experience.

The reality is though, open is such a different game at the top and bottom. Are the top 8 open teams plenty good enough to benefit from this? I would say so. Top 16? Maybe. Top 32? No, I would say not. But where is that line? If we drew one it would be completely arbitrary. So we draw it at IM experience because that is a simple, clear, line in the sand.

This class seems tedious for IM players. Usually people who are at this level get picked in pugs enough to ask the renowned players anything. This is basically going into b4nny's stream and asking him any question about tf2. If most questions aren't tf2 related it wouldn't hurt to open this up to the public. Opening this up to anyone will greatly increase.

(also everyone is European in this)

even if you're going to restrict it to the upper echelons of tf2, i dont see the reason for tying it directly to division experience

There also players in IM who may also have trouble asking questions that may not necessarily encompass the big picture. I feel participation is a big aspect of it, and even if you put the restriction to IM and beyond, you still could have people that may not be actively participating or not necessarily asking meaningful questions.

Just my 2 cents

Because of the lack of signups, experience has been opened up to anyone with esea open or etf2l mid experience. Feel free to sign up, guys.

flatlinealso yeah literally everyone in this panel is euro minus clockwork

The panel has other players that were hoping to be a part of it, but weren't able to commit enough to put it out publicly. There will most likely be at least a couple more na guys.
