I was playing with my monitor and now I can't get tf2 (all fullscreen games) to run with black bars on top and bottom. Now its stretched to fit the screen. I have no idea how i got it that way before but im comfortable with it. Anyone have any ideas how i can fix this?

I use 1280x800 (16:10 monitor)

You could just use a lower 16:10 res. Otherwise, check if your video driver is automatically fullscreen scaling. If it happened on its own, it's probably that.

I really want to use what ive used for 2 years and am used to.

checking the box doesnt let me choose any of the options either

Have you tried GPU scaling > maintain aspect ratio. I think that would work right?

try to maintain pixel ratio. It might be an option on the screen or in the graphics card options themselves
you could also get a 4:3 CRT and get rid of blackbars entirely if you really use them for all games
