ASUS vg248qe 144 hz problem

recently I went on testufo.com and it showed that my monitor is at 60 hz (http://imgur.com/Suj54gw) even though in my display settings and nvidia control panel it clearly says its set to 144 hz. I've asked my teammates and friends who have the same monitor to use the site and it all says they are at 120 and above.

my drivers are all updated and my video card is a nvidia geforce gtx 680.

does anyone know what to do about this?

try dropping the monitor settings to 120hz and or 60hz and testing it and then visually seeing if there is a difference in game.

If you right click on your desktop>go to screen resolution>click on advanced settings and then click on the monitor tab of advanced settings are you sure it says 144hz?

sorry i know thats a pretty dumb question to ask, but i'm just making sure.

also, if your framerate is capped at 60fps on the website, you will only be able to use 60hz. thats how it works, if you dont have 144 FPS you cant use 144hz.

using only that vg248qe, or multiple monitors?
i've had the 'issue' in the past where my vg248qe got locked to 60hz as soon as i plugged in a second monitor that was running at 60.

Do you have any additional monitors running at different refresh rates?
Damn, a few seconds late.

"The only reason that would happen is if the monitor is connected to a single-link DVI port. If your video card has two DVI ports, try the other port."

found this reply via google.
if you have a card with two slots, try the other one.

are you using the cable that came with the monitor? It needs a dual link dvi cable to put out 144hz.

I am only suggesting this because I was a lazy idiot and just plugged in my old cord that I used for my old 60hz monitor.

Karltry a few different browsers?

Also this because sometimes that website can be buggy with certain builds with chrome.

And this, my video card only does 144hz out of the first dvi port

from memory, I think you need aero enabled or desktop windows manager (dwm.exe) for your browser to register above 60hz on those website. try testing that.

I am having a similar problem, except I can't keep my 144hz. I switch to 144hz in AMD Catalyst Control Center, Monitor 1 refreshes, switch to game and looks great except it only lasts 30-60 seconds and both monitors refresh back to 60hz. I have one 144hz same as OP and one 60hz. This happens in and out of game.

Update: Driver update from 10/13 fixed it. : )

I wouldn't worry about this site, its very likely your browser/site combo (2 browsers is not enough)
