I have ingame volume at like 0.2 and mumble max usually.Overall volume around 50, more than that and it's too loud.
Can still hear game pretty loud cuz my headphones are pretty great I guess

I often adjust my mumble volume in the volume mixer based on the varying annoyance level of the people I'm in a channel with (so in lobbies/shitty pug groups I turn the volume down super low so I don't have to hear retards talking too much). If I'm listening to music during pugs and whatnot I sometimes find it relaxing to completely turn off in-game audio, though it obviously makes it harder to know what's going on.

Go to The little speaker icon on the taskbar and click mixer. http://thewindowsclub.thewindowsclubco.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/volumecontrol.png

Once you have the mixer open, you should be able to individually adjust volume for every single program you have open atm.

tf2 is loud, mumble makes my ears bleed, music is extremely quiet so I can only hear it during down time

I keep all my system volumes at 100 and adjust specific programs accordingly. I usually keep Mumble the loudest of all my programs, and I set it to quiet other programs when people talk. TF2 is relatively quiet, but loud enough I can still hear things. If I listen to music, it's very quiet.

You may have the setting to quiet all other sounds when a "call" is happening checked. It's a dumb windows audio setting, and you should turn it off because it's really annoying.

If you're in TF2 you can always change the volume with a console command:

volume .25

This way you don't have to ALT+Tab to use the stupid mixer.
