Mouse Issues

Starting Tuesday, I started having mouse issues.

It's really hard to describe, but the best I can describe my issues is:

    •Limited movement when turning
•Feels like my sensitivity is changing when I turn even when it's not (feels like it's lowering)
    •Feels jittery when turning
•It's really hard to move my cursor in a small circle
•Hard to aim at buttons/icons/etc (eg. if I want to go to the Google Chrome icon the cursor may go a bit above/below/left/right of it)

I have tried:

    •Switching mouses
    •Cleaning my mouse pad
    •Re-installing TF2
    •Restarting my PC
    •Re-installing mouse drivers
    •Switching USB ports
•Looking on other forums to no avail

This is affecting my aim and movement within TF2 and other games (and even browsing the internet). Mouse acceleration is off, both in TF2 and windows and raw input is on as well. The thing is this started suddenly on Tuesday (it was fine on Monday) and I don't know what is causing it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Had the Logitech g500 and bought a Logitech g502 but I still have the same problem. I just got this 2 days ago so it can't be dirty.

wow crazy we are having the same problem

it didnt fix it for me, but downloading this thing http://donewmouseaccel.blogspot.cz/2010/03/markc-windows-7-mouse-acceleration-fix.html that kane gave me made it a little better even though it's still not as accurate as i'd like it to be. add me on steam and hopefully if we work together we can get through this aim hell together i believe that with team work we can accomplish anything my friend good luck to us

shout out to kane

Try booting in safe mode and see if the issue is there too.

What software do you two have in common? Presumably windows, was there an update that caused this?

this didn't start immediately after i installed windows 8.1 so i don't think that's the reason. i talked to him and he said he was on a computer though so it's not my laptop that's doing it.

at this point i just think we both have faulty mice

I have Windows 7. No updates on Tuesday (which was when the issue started).

Try updating all your drivers (GPU, BIOS, etc)

Run MouseMovementRecorder in this folder https://drive.google.com/uc?id=0B_PnkMGDlD5nVjlxZEl5M2l2c0E&export=download and see if you are getting any red/green reports (mousing to the edge of the scroll will cause green)

Did you see if it behaves normally in safe mode yet? Safe mode would rule out any software issues and most driver issues.

If all that fails you could try booting into startup repair and doing a system restore to back when it was working.
