What is the problem with Acer exactly? Just wondering because I have a gd235hz

150CAD is a great price imo. If you can ask the buyer, make sure there aren't any high pitched noises emitting from the monitor. This could indicate failing capacitors.

A friend of mine bought that Hanns G. It has screen tearing issues and Hanns G didn't even understand what he meant when he sent it back to them to fix so they sent him a replacement with the same problem. Sadly he's too busy/pacifist to bother to send it back to them again so he's just living with it.

The screen seems to be identical to the Planar model that is/was available in the USA, which also had tearing issues. Except that was apparently fixed in some kind of firmware update that they flashed if you sent it back.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824016168

Colours and viewing angles are also pretty poor as you would expect from a cheap TN. If you get one without the tearing issue (a horizontal jump betwen rows of pixels every few seconds when set above 75 Hz) it would probably be pretty good value though.

#69 I'm thinking about getting this monitor due to its attractive price point.
Apparently the screen tearing issues were introduced with a bad batch and any Planar brought monitor seems to be fine now. I will contact Hanns G to see whether they are aware of the issue and whether they applied the same firmware fix and post back.

I heard that the LG W2363D-PF only supports 120hz on 1920x1080.
Can anyone confirm/deny that?

So I can confirm that the acer 120hz is awful. I've used it for like 6 months now, and just switched to a crt. Everything has changed. The only thing I dislike about the crt is that sometimes shadows in certain games will have a weird color to them.

Highly Recommend the ASUS VG236H, only problem I noticed with it is slight ghosting. No backlight issues or noticable input lag switching from CRT to LCD. 120Hz is good and colours let me see below badlands mid finally. Looking forward to getting 120 fps in games other than TF2 and seeing the magic.

So I have a 325$ dollar budget to get a 120 hz monitor. What would be the general consensus of a good 120 hz monitor for around that price? I've read all the responses of the thread, and so far opinions seem varied. Please and thank you.

Got this one for like half a year now. Bought it cause it was cheap when I got it (130€, 2nd hand, unused). No problems what so ever, slight ghosting doesn't bother me that much. 4,5/5 would bang again.

I found a guy nearby on craigslist selling a Viewsonic vx2268wm for $130. I've been looking to upgrade from my 60hz to a 120hz monitor.

1) Should I get it
2) Do 120hz monitors exist without 3D? I really just want a monitor capable of 120hz but I can't find any without 3D and all that the 3D feature is doing for me is raising the price

the vx2268wm has no input lag and is a cool monitor for cool people and $130 is a great deal on it

120hz and 3d go hand in hand because 3d done on a panel with <120hz has very noticable flickering

Budget: $500-$600

If you were me, would you spend your budget on one superb 120hz monitor or would you get two really good monitors?

Which one would you choose as the superb monitor and which one would you choose to double up?

Thanks ahead of time~!

if I were you I'd just get the benq xl2420t and keep the rest of your money. but if you do not want to do that, I'd probably get 2 monitors.
