Pretty much what the title says! I just bought the xl2420z and I searched in the official site of benq for a tf2 and cs:go profile but it seems it doesn't have any!! Anyone have made a profile for those two games for this monitor or suggest to make one?
Thanks in advance for your help

What made you choose the XL2420Z over the XL2411Z?
What kind of profile do you need? Downloading an ICC profile is pretty much pointless since it won't fit your specific panel. If all panels were created equally we wouldn't need ICC profiles.

What made me to choose the xl2420z over xl2411z? that was the one that were selling in the store which i bought it! As for panels i am pretty new to know to benq monitors trying to figure out about their settings. As for a profile i have found some usefull profiles in xl2420t(one friend of mine were using it) but it's doesn't fit in my monitor. Also i understand that each profile is a personal preference but through the ones that someone might use i can tweak it and bring it to my own tastes

So we're not talking about ICC profiles since those aren't personal preference.
What kind of profile are you looking for?

If you check the tf2 profile for xl2420t which exist in the official site of benq it fits with my taste! But how can i install it to my monitor since i download it and installed it but it's not the same in my monitor as xl2420t! Also my i ask what actually is ICC?? Cause there is a high chance to misunderstand the meaning.

I use the 2420Z @ 144, I just use the color profile from here

I think the color is ass from this profile (for my own panel) but I haven't really been bothered to make it better. It's far better than the best I could get out of the box. Fuck I hate the contrast and low light settings it forces on you. But man, dat 144Hz.

ICC = colour profile.

It would've been a lot easier if you had bothered to provide a link.

Those profiles will also completely fuck up the colours. They're only useful for two things: Setting the motion blur reduction utility settings and black equalizer for different games. The XL2420T isn't compatible with the mbr utility so you'd go through all this trouble for a single setting (black equalizer) for which you could find your preferred setting in five minutes.

It's easier to creat your own profile.

You don't like brightness, you don't like the contrast and you're probably just telling yourself the colours are better. That ICC profile is useless for you. Borrow a colorimeter and make a proper ICC profile that actually improves things. Or tweak the OSD settings manually, you can actually get acceptable results with this monitor.

I've turned up the brightness beyond what they've suggested, and turned the contrast to what feels good. The colors from the profile are better than the out of the box colors, but they're still horrible, honestly. They piss me off all the time. I just don't have access to a colorimeter.

I've tweaked the OSD beyond what it told me, and while I'm okay with some colors, darkness has a tint to it and I can never get low blacks. That's actually a "feature" that I can't disable, meant to improve visiblity in games with low light. Why the fuck can't I disable it?

You can't turn Black Equalizer off?

Using an ICC profile with completely different settings than what were used to create it actually makes things worse.
Disable it and take your time and configure the colours manually. I'd lend you a colorimeter but you don't exactly live next door.

I've configured it mostly the way they have, while eyeballing a couple of settings that felt off - for example, pure white was tinted green in my experience.

It feels alright on average, but the black levels are absolute shit. Black eQualizer is disabled in the OSD when using the Standard profile, like they used. The only modes that enable it are the gamer modes, but those have other options disabled that also make it look equally shitty. For example, the Movie preset enables eQualizer, but also disables things like blur reduction, enforces oversaturation, and a couple of other issues.

Movie forces oversaturation, Photo fucks up contrast and gamma, sRGB removes that contrast issue from Photo but makes the gamma ten times worse, Eco disables almost all controls and turns the brightness down, on top of having bad contrast, FPS1 is like the worst of Photo and sRGB, FPS2 is even worse oh my god my screen is almost entirely white, RTS is basically FPS2, and Gamer1, Gamer2, and Gamer3 are pretty much the same as FPS2 and RTS.

I don't know who the fuck designed these profiles.

All profiles are shit, there's usually only one decent profile and that's either standard or sRGB. For the Benq it's standard.

You know that the ICC profile might be responsible for the too bright low blacks. They might be ok with lower brigthness, but you turned the brightness up.
