Hey All,

I figured I should make some sort of 'official' post on the subject.

Leviathan Gaming is coming to a close. It has been an interesting and educational trip into the depths of competitive gaming and I have loved every moment of it. I am sad and sorry that it has to end. I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of LG and contributed to our success. I would also like to thank everyone who supported us and cheered us on.

Thanks again,
Scott

Thanks for everything you've done. If you still want to help out w/ competitive TF2, you should get in touch w/ Nahanni - she's starting Apocalypse Gaming back up with Meo just to sponsor teams - I'm sure you could offer some insight and help her balance the workload.

I hate to be a debbie downer, but I think we should talk about how financially crippling it seems to be to sponsor tf2, and how everyone who tries ends up going bankrupt

it ain't good

not sure this is the case for Gatsby.

LG and Gatsby wanted a long term team that would generate its own community and support... this didn't happen over 3-4 iterations of LG.TF2

Even the long standing and arguably most successful teammates in Tyrone/b4nny couldn't do it for them

At their heart, an MGO is there to sell marketing space. If they can't provide a sponsor with a convincing return on their investment or successfully reach out to potential sponsor then that is why they have failed.

The only MGO who really seems to "get it" right now is EG. As someone who used to follow SC2 really closely, I know all about all of their players, I know about their house, I love them for their announcement videos, and they've managed to create probably about a dozen different memes about themselves within SC2, quite a few them including main sponsors.

The TF2 scene is enormous and there is huge potential to expose the casual audience in an engaging way.
