I'm confused as to what this Twitch account is and what your community is. Is it a TF2 community? Is it a multi-game community? What content will you feature on the stream (I don't see any past broadcasts)?

This twitch account is a new account that will be used by the community. Previously we have been using my personal account, http://www.twitch.tv/tatelax . The new twitch account (in my first post) will be used to stream our TF2 teams s15 steel HL matches. The community is a multi-game community. We have a popular Gmod server, minecraft server, and teamspeak server. A lot of people in the community are interested in watching the matches, which is where the idea comes from to stream our matches. We are going to have a team of 4 people consisting of 2 casters, 1 camera man, and a chat moderator to manage this stream.

And does this stream feature just the TF2 portion of the community or will you be featuring all of your games on this channel (Gmod, Minecraft, etc.)?

This stream will be used only for our TF2 team.

Do you have VOD saving enabled? I'd like to check out your stream sometime. Nothing on your stream indicates that you feature competitive TF2 content - no description, no VODs, no nothing.

VOD saving has been enabled. We have not begun streaming competitive TF2 content. Our first stream will be this Saturday at 8:30.

May I ask why? I think your comment is a bit rude and uncalled for. We have some awesome plans for season 15, and we will be introducing a lot of new people to the TF2 competitive scene. Our casting team is showing great promises to provide for a very entertaining and well produced stream. We felt that joining the team fortress.tv twitch Team would be a great way to improve the legitimacy of the stream, as well as bringing in some new viewers. Are we mistaken?

This thread in particular is odd because you are trying to get your stream promoted before you've really put out any content with it. It's great that you guys are preparing to host a quality stream, but I've never seen a stream get partnered here based on ambition alone. Most people on the sidebar streamed consistently for weeks or months before applying. Judging from data on SocialBlade, you don't stream very often at all. The last thing you streamed seems to be Portal 2. And out of the ~850 members of your community, only 77 people seem to have visited the stream in the 4 months it's existed, so the claims that you "should have a good turnout" seem unfounded. Don't even know why you brought them up since viewership isn't real criteria. TF2 content is.

While you've said a lot about yourself and the community you represent, you were rather vague on fully explaining the plans of the stream aside from production value, until Slin basically interrogated you for details. I don't mean to be a jerk, but I have to admit that to me this feels more like you're trying to promote your community at large, than promote TF2.

Yeah #9 has it. The point of this website is to promote the competitive TF2 community, and we want to feature streams that will further that goal. It makes the most sense for us to promote active streamers that already have some momentum going or at least are making an effort to stream without our support. After all, your desire to stream shouldn't be based on whether or not someone else decides to put you on the sidebar.

Stream a bit and show us that you're doing what you say you're doing. Then it should be easy to get you listed.
