Demo Does Not Play

When trying to play an old POV demo (date was 8/29/14) the demo instead of playing displays this in console:

playdemo <demoname> : plays a demo file

I have tried mat_queue_mode -1, 0, 1, 2 and none have helped

Any tips?

try to open the demo with shift f2?

That's the weird thing is that is how I am opening the demos, although I have also tried through console

Try renaming the demo to something without spaces (just call it demo.dem or something) and try again
I think that that's what might be causing your issue
