Does anyone here kendama? I was thinking about picking a nice-ish one up for the first time and was wondering if anyone had experience with one/can recommend one.
I'm generally pretty diligent with things like this, so I'm willing to drop a little extra for a nice one that will get used.

The cherry wood kendamas that run for about $40 seem to be a pretty decent one based on my experience. The kendama hype was real here in Hawaii about 6 months ago

There was a kendama boom in my town when I was 14 or 15, pretty much any kid or teen at the time had a kendama and they were playing around with them. Sweetskendamas seems a bit weird shop, they dont have weight of kendamas listed anywhere which seems to be a quite important thing in competitions(I have no insight on this so please correct me if Im wrong).

Heres some stuff about kendama weights, even though its missing info about shin-fuji and sakura. I would recommend you to buy a TK-16 from KendamaUSA(http://shop.kendamausa.com) or any other kendama store they're going pretty much around the same prices, TK-16's are hard as fuck and they will most likely not to break if it drops from your hand or something. Also being certified by Japanese Kendama Association probably means that sick japanese ESEA-I kendama players have approved it to be good or something.
