im trying to install a new hitsound (as the default one is getting annoying) and SteamPipe isn't making it any easier. i cant figure it out. ive tried everything that i can think of.

so if anyone knows something that could help me i'd greatly appreciate it

can you not find the files or?

this is my filepath, you may have to create dingaling/sound/ui

Go to your hard drive, program files x86 then to steam, steam apps,common, team fortress 2,tf folder make a folder named "custom" this is where all your custom files go (hud custom skins etc) make a folder named "sound" and inside the folder make a folder named ui, than put your hitsound in the ui folder, and you should be set!

It says that its trying to create a search path through my custom/sounds/ui area of folders but it stops there

Stuff goes into tf/custom/<arbitrary directory name whatever you want to call this>/blah, for example, tf/custom/content/sound/ui in this case
