On april 20, there will be a Highlander Newbie tournament for people in the EU, you can sign up by sending Skormory a PM on reddit. Send your Steam name to him, and he will add you to his account. Before the map starts , all of the teams will have a chance to talk to a veteran about strats, rollouts etc.
These are the maps that we will be playing on:
- pl_upward
- pl_badwater
- cp_process
- cp_gullywash
- koth_viaduct_pro_rc4
The matches will be casted by CaberCam
Mumble servers are provided by TF2pickup.net.
We are using the UGC HL whitelist (Season 12)

Why are any of the heavy secondaries banned?
Also the blutsauger, booties, and loose cannon.

Why are you not using UGC whitelist considering most of players interested in HL will move there?
EDIT : After closer look, I actually don't understand decision making behind that whitelist. Do you mind to explain?

What's wrong with the UGC whitelist? Unless you are trying to be more newb friendly in which case I can see why some items are banned. Regardless of which there are a few items that if I was running the event would consider allowing like the Disciplinary Action for rollouts or the Sun on a Stick since you are allowing the Axe for pyro.

We're using the UGC whitelist now.
This event sounds like a great idea. I would recommend it to some of my friends, but it's EU so I guess someone should get started on a NA newb tournament.
