I know there are already tons of threads out there about how to work nvidia inspector with tf2, but i am still struggling with trying to get this to work for myself. I downloaded the program from here : http://www.guru3d.com/files_get/nvidia_inspector_download,1.html . I really do not know where to start with this so please any help will be appreciated. Please try to keep it "simple" for me, i really like do not know these things, but i really want these texture settings implemented into my TF2.

Things I have done:
-I clicked on the settings button and clicked tf2 on the top right corner.
-I tried to change the lod bias under texture filtering from "LODBIASADJUST_DEFAULT" to a number like 15 but there was no option too and when i tried putting the number in, it didn't work.
-also when I download the program, I am still unsure as to where to save the file because i doesn't allow me to open it without saving it to a specific file location. Can i just save it to "downloads" or do i save it to my tf folder IDK

Location of the folder doesnt matter afaik, I have NvidiaInspector folder just on my desktop and its fine.

Set "Antialiasing - Transparency supersampling" to AA_MODE_REPLAY_ALL

http://i.imgur.com/TZVRZzf.jpg

and apply changes. Then export the TF2 profile by clicking this icon

http://i.imgur.com/OPE0Qho.jpg

and then "export current profile", name or location of the file doesnt matter.

Then open the exported profile in some text editing program(notepad is fine) and ctrl+f

<SettingID>7573135

what you're going to edit is the value of this setting, this is quote from ETF2L thread http://etf2l.org/forum/customise/topic-17728/

to achieve a LOD Bias > 3, you need export the “profile” and change the Setting (in the exported Profile):

SettingID:7573135
SettingValue: YOURDESIREDVALUE * 8

LODBias: 10 you would enter 80
for 15 enter 120.

so what you want to do is change the value to 120 and save it in that exported profile file.

Then you go back to NvidiaInspector and import the profile by clicking this icon

http://i.imgur.com/1gYelOc.jpg

and then "Import profile(s)", after this you should see that "Texture filtering - LOD Bias (DX)" has changed itself to 0x00000078

http://i.imgur.com/HsOqPve.jpg

then click apply changes and you're free to close NvidiaInspector, now when you start TF2 it should have lower LOD.

Sorry for many pictures demonstrating really simple things but I just think that its more clear than these explanations that Im giving.

You can just change the LOD Bias (DX) to 0.00 and apply changes, it wont overwrite it to the exported profile and whenever you want to go back to lower LOD you just import the profile again

jewbagelsso i just right in the place of lod bias +0.0000 if i want the settings to revert?

Yep just like that

jewbagelsalso i ran into another problem when i cntl f "<SettingID>7573135" in the document it says there is no matches.

Thats weird, if you downloaded NvidiaInspector from the link that you mentioned in the first post we should have the exact same version of it and therefore we should have exactly same kind of TF2 profiles. You could try just copypasting this to your exported profile

<ProfileSetting>
        <SettingID>7573135</SettingID>
        <SettingValue>120</SettingValue>
      </ProfileSetting>

Or replacing the stuff in your exported profile with the same that I have, I uploaded my TF2.nip in pastebin, feel free to try out http://pastebin.com/wTeA0h7w

i just took a look at ur pastebin it has the exact same things as mine except for the section u showed me. it literally skips over that one. like from 6701881 to 9821945. im gonna try copy and pasting that bit at the appropriate place in the file. ill let you know what happens.
