My GTX 260 likes to over heat. Help me find a decent graphics card that runs cool and has decent performance. I'm willing to spend around 2-250$

+1 to the 7850.

If you can find this model
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102986
it has dual fans, and runs quite cold.

7850 is around your price range.

However, if you can wing it ... get a 660ti power edition from MSI. Overclocked it performs on par with a 670.

As long as your case is sufficient nothing new will overheat.

Wouldn't overclocking counter the purpose of having a cooler card? Or does it still run pretty cool overclocked?

I'm just assuming he'll probably run at stock speeds since overclocking increases the heat.

660ti power edition is the only single GPU card worth buying currently. Anything else is a waste of money.
