Interesting read. E-sports seems really attractive to volatile investors.

I thought this one was a better article:
http://www.dailydot.com/esports/ko-hyun-simon-boudreault-quantic-gaming-lawyer-sue/

The polygon one kinda strikes the tone of: "Ohhh, its so sad this didnt work out for him."

Fuck that. Dude bit off more than he could chew, and in the process ripped off Hyun and the whole rest of the staff. No sympathy for blackfogers.

It's really risky to start up sponsorship for competitive video games. It is a thankless monetary handout to people who really don't deserve it because they're not actually going to make you any money. It's either get lucky and go big or die a horrible death. I have no doubt Quantic had good intentions but at the end of the day it just didn't take off.

Quantic's been around a while, not sure what you mean.

What I mean to say is sponsoring competitive video games is a foolish idea because it's just a thankless money sucking vortex of death and the fate of your company is almost completely determined by luck. Anyone with any good business sense would never do it, it should be no surprise you end up with weirdos.
