My computer is being sold tomorrow and I want to completely clean it out so there is no trace of me on it i.e. no stored passwords, caches, documents etc. I have a windows 7 .iso and have gotten the product key out of my os with a third party program, if I reinstall with that product key will it remove everything from my hard drive? Should I do something else before I reinstall or afterwards? Have backed up what I need to back up already.

Just format all your drives, remove everything but the OS drive (if you have multiples) and do a clean W7 install.

Do follow fsXD's advice. Simply formatting your hard drive does not securely erase your data and allows for the possibility of future recovery.
