Lange, I was wondering after hearing you talk about SVTHost and stuff last night that if you had some time you could throw up a post about the specifics? I know the plugins might need to be found etc, but it was really interesting how you had it all set up and I'd love to give it a try.

I was also wondering about this. Lange uses the snowball which is USB, but would a program like vsthost (and its respective plugins) also do anything for a 3.5mm mic?

I didn't even know that you could do something like this, basically what Lange is doing is running his Snowball into a few different plugins to "enhance/tweak" the sound of his microphone.

So he has a noise gate/reducer that he uses to reduce excess background noise, a compressor to even out the volume of his mic, and then a limiter to make sure that the output of his mic doesn't go above a certain level.

My audio pipeline is like this:

VSTHost
1. iZotope RX 2 Denoiser (Looks like RX-3 is out now though)
2. WaveShell API-2500 Compressor
3. BuzMaxi3 Brickwall Limiter
Virtual Audio Cable (only way to get audio from VSTHost into another program via software)
OBS
