WoW died along time ago, i wouldn't recommend going back. Farm items all day, endgame is aids.

I've 'played' the game since 2010 and its literally the worst experience for me now
Lfr is full of complaining idiots and takes the fun out of it
Every raid is a joke
Pvp is still retarded
Getting gear is the easiest thing making raids even easier
Leveling is awful after you've done it once because its the same thing over and over
If have a level 90 wait till the next expansion then play for a month because right now its really boring

It's like going back to smoking, once you quit it's better for your health to stay quit.

Thanks guys! Haven't played in a long while and was wondering whether it would be worth it. Guess I have an extra 15 dollars now :D

I've been playing WoW on and off for like 6 years now...

Basically it has the best PvE out of any other game out there. If you really hardcore about it and enjoy the raiding it can be really fun for you. If PvP is your thing and you play with a couple other good players/friends, Arena can be really fun too. But the worst part about this game is when you play without friends. It's a miserable, awful grind.

I find myself quitting, thinking oh I miss WoW, going back to it, and then quitting again. You'd think I would have learned my lesson by now but hopefully this was the last time I'll unsubscribe. It's a dated game, just like TF2. Unless you have a bunch of friends playing it like the people who stream it do, I wouldn't suggest going back to it. Unfortunately we'll just have to hope that there is a game that comes out that can replace it.

Came back for Mists, my Disc Priest was total garbage in PvP, then the first patch nerfed me even harder because Disc was by far the best PvE healer.

And then I left.

Basically, as subscribers dwindle, WoW is clinging to the scrubby masses that run LFRs all day and will cave to their demands first and foremost. That's the state of the game right now.

Yes, I would put the reason WoW is dying on the dumbing-down of the game. I played from 2005 to 2012, and near the end of that time I just got no enjoyment from the game. An MMORPG is supposed to be a role playing game first and foremost, and the focus is not on the gameplay (play fucking diablo II if you just want an action RPG). WoW really had immersion down from Vanilla to BC, but WoTLK started its demise. I think the questing and leveling curve in early WotLK was incredible, and I loved it. It wasn't tedious like in vanilla, but it wasn't super linear and dumb like in Cataclysm.

The Dungeon Finder was the worst thing that ever happened to the game, ruined every actual role-playing and community aspect of the game IMO. My friends quit one by one, and then there was no reason to play it anymore, since nobody in the game reaches out anymore since all they have to do is sit in Stormwind/Orgrimmar and make money in the auction house off stupid people and do LFR.

It's sad because all MMORPGs now have to be a copy of this trainwreck if they want to be anywhere near successful, because I really think that is the genre of games with the most potential in the future. (MMORPG doesn't mean WoW clone)

TL;DR: Game is a joke for people looking for an actual MMORPG experience, would not recommend.
