I've slowly been getting interested into making huds, i was wondering what huds are usually the best to start with. Any help?

I think a lot of people just pick a hud that has the same positioning/resembles what they're looking for.

The default HUD is the best for a number of reasons, but it is also more time consuming if you want to change a lot.

Default hud is the best HUD to start with. It doesn't have difficult code and is easy to understand. Sometimes when I edit a HUD I will take a look at other HUDs. So start with the default HUD and when you need to use some of the more finished HUDs.

OMP, Broesel, and Garm3n seem to be common starting points. I agree with Geknaiir that you should probably just find a HUD that has most things you like and then modify the things you did not. I've been modifying my Broesel2.5 for ~2 months and i'm still changing things at least once or twice a week.
