I was trying to make a custom HUD but I cant seem to figure out how to change the health bar image. I can change the background but not the actual health bar part. I tried to add a image in the PlayerStatusHealthImage part but that didn't do anything. Any idea how I might change that?

Take a look at gmanghuds HP Bucket, might give you an idea. Not sure if this is possible though.

As far as I know, it's not possible if you want to play on sv_pure servers :/

You might be able to use broesels method of adding vtf files to your materials/vgui/replay/thumbnails folder. I'm not entirely sure of how this works but I do know he was able to make a transparent healthcross doing this.

Problem is there is no way to replace the health cross image with another file besides replacing the one already used, which implies that it won't work on sv_pure servers :/

There's this hud that uses a square instead of the health cross..

I'm not talking about the "exploit" broesel found out. I'm talking about replacing existing .vtf files not adding new ones
