so i found out my zalman mic doesnt work on my laptop (since my audio in jack is a line in thus it cant power it or something) so ive been using my laptops built in mic unknowingly and wondering why the quality is so shit.
thus i need a usb headset for my laptop to be able to use an external mic. suggestions?
(also, ill need to get a usb hub to accomodate my headset. should i get a powered one if the 3 things ill connect are mouse keyboard and headset, or is a non powered one fine?)

don't know shit about usb hubs but this logitech h360 is 10$ atm @ bestbuy

You could get a cheap usb soundcard which might work instead of just getting a new headset therefore you can use your current mic and headphones.
