Hey guys flippers here, I recently learned how to do sfm smooths. Therefore I am back in the editing game :D. I have one project already lined up, an ESEA frag vid that will cover LAN and a few regular season frags, I will also potentially be doing a video for Fragophilia gaming, and a short video for Top Guns. So, I am looking for roamer clips, from any division, I dont care and im not gonna get picky as long as the clip is good. Because of the fact that I am frequently at my cottage this video will not be taking priority over any other projects other than the short frag clip for Top Guns.
Format as follows, all clips not following this format will be promptly ignored.
map_tick_player.
You may be asking why I am making a roamer video, I am making one because I have always liked class centered videos and roamer happens to be my favorite class. (also long scout clips suck).
edit: Flippers seal of approval if you can give me a creative roamer related name for the frag movie.

I think as long as its an organized 6's match, it really doesn't matter.

I had super shitty internet. I go afk just as my team pushes into Badlands last. My team gets wiped, the enemy team loses no one. I get caught by a Scout, kill him, then go to last where a Heavy tries to kill me. I kill him and take the point just as the enemy team is about to cap spire.
It's pretty choppy though because i had ~200 ping the entire time.

tick 4300 - 4k. Kill med, demo, soldier, and scout with 1 hp at the end.
This was a scrim, and I'm from Asia, Hong Kong if that makes it any more special :P

Unless you're having visible health (generally a nono in editing), it's almost impossible to tell the difference in a finished video.

Making smooths in SFM is such a better method isn't it, Flippers? :D

hey just a question, how does smoothing with sfm work? I mean, can you smooth something out of a demo or you just have to 'recreate it'? i never used it and i cant smooth :(

You can't interact with TF2 demos using SFM, if that's what you mean. If you want to make a smooth out of something specific that happened, you then have to either recreate it in SFM and then smooth, or just do the smooth within TF2.
Smoothing in SFM is a little harder to learn and takes a little bit of time, but once you have a complete understanding of how it works and can do it yourself, it's 100% more convenient, easier and definitely better. However, there will be times where it's better to do the smooth in TF2. An example would be that you have a clip of a soldier getting airshot and you want to smooth it. Well, in SFM, you would have to record yourself playing both sides. You would have to record yourself being the soldier that was airshot by jumping and binding a key to "explode", then record yourself as the soldier who hit the shot and pseudo-airshot your recording. The rocket I don't think will explode on contact with your other recorded self, but if it does then great. If not and it passes right through (or really if you just barely miss), you can mask that with particles to make it look like it hit.
Sounds complicated, right? Well, some stuff will be and are better off being done in TF2's smoother. Don't let it get you down. Practice learning how to smooth with both programs and in no time you'll understand why it's a lot better.
tl;dr you can't interact with tf2 demos in sfm. sfm smoothing is a bit harder to learn but in the end is 100% better than smoothing in tf2 on the exception of when you need to smooth something that ends up needing tf2 itself. learn both and profit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMKkiZ6fRlQ&hd=1 the intro to this was done completely in SFM. I wish I could go back and fix this intro up (so many problems), but that's whatever. I recreated it almost exactly as what was going on in the demo itself.

Also, much less good frag @11000 to save the first mid.
Interesting going through dropdown both ways.
