Skipping Ticks

Whenever I play a demo and I have a bookmark at lets say tick 100,000, I try to skip to that tick, and 50% of the time it will go to the tick, the other 50% of the time the game will crash. It's not a big deal but is there any way for it to always go to the tick or to make the game not crash when skipping a lot of ticks?

I think it also depends on how good your pc is because mine is made of turd and even crashes with mat_queue_mode 0 if I skip more than 5k ticks at a time.

Disable multi-core rendering.

Or just skip less ticks at a time.

No, it will never crash if you have mat_queue_mode 0.

I have an i7 and I cannot skip more than 5000 ticks at a time or the game will crash. And yes I have tried every mat_queue_mode setting

What does mat_queue_mode 0 do that prevents the crash?
Is it a setting one would usually want set to a different number, or just another crappy default?

I forgot what 0 does but at 2 you render with multicore. Basically meaning for gameplay you would use this option, as fps configs do, for frames (lol redundant).

I believe 0 is a synchronous single thread, but don't take it for sure.
