Question:

How do I change the color of the health box in BXHUD?

I changed the ammo fine, but doing the same process for the health doesn't do anything.

edit: I figured it out, you have to change hudanimations to your new color.

bxhud looks great but I think its too high
and it seems like it can get pretty stacked (5th white dot in pics)

ive been using KNhud for several months now, only switching to Iscariot last night. Was likely going to switch back but I think I'll give BX a try. Really like fog's crosshairs packed with the huds, and the hitmarker option is fun to play around with.

SHOCKLATEBX looks super nice! The only thing I don't like is the placement of the ammo/reserve numbers. I think maybe if you put the ammo to the left of health, and reserve to the right (aligned on the bottom/top edge or centered, but still smaller than health), it would look more balanced. That would also leave room underneath health for stickies placed to get centered, or other recharge bars etc.

It's definately a possibility for some people but for me personally it feels "tight" rather than "stacked". Again, for me personally, that's a good thing. But hey, if people don't like it, no harms done. We all got our own preferences.

I don't know how you define easy. :)
The boxes can be made bigger in HudPlayerHealth.res and HudAmmoWeapons.res. I don't know the next sizes from the top of my head to make the font bigger in the .res files but if you look at what font is used i.e. "roboto34" for the health value, you can upp the "tall" value for that particular font in ClientScheme.res.

On BXHud, my screen shows 2 crosshairs, the default TF2 one, and the one I chose -- is there a solution to this? Also, I know you can center it, but I'm not sure how much I should change it. Otherwise, I LOVE it. Thanks.

Thanks, I eventually just worked mine out with your values. (I probably should have mentioned I play with 1080 windowed ) I'm a little glad that I'm not the only one with the other crosshair problem.

On a side note: the crosshair turning red when an enemy is damaged is nice!

bxhud: innovative and modern.
pvhud: conservative and classic.

I'll edit it as I see fit, if that means taking it in a completely different direction then I'll do it. I wouldn't count on it though. ;)

i just got knhud, and unfortunately the crosshair is quite a bit too big, but i see no practical way of resisizng it. any help?

Find its font in resource/ClientScheme.res and change the "tall" value to something lower. You have to restart tf2 every time you change it to see the change.

I added last damage text myself a while ago. This only works for 1920x1080, but you can change xpos, ypos, wide and tall to fix it for your resolution. This goes in your HudDamageAccount.res in resource/ui
