So I am looking to upgrade most of my PC and I wanted some of your opinions. I calculated it being the same amount to buy this as it would be to build it. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4990219&CatId=114

My Current Setup:
cpu: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
RAM: G.Skill x2 1GB
motherboard: ASUS M2A74-AM
gpu: Radeon 5770
souncard: ASUS Xonar
case: Thermaltake Armor 1st Gen(a lot of empty drive bays bringing in dust)

After Setup:
cpu: AMD Quad Core A10-5700
RAM: 8 GB asus ram?
motherboard: some Asus one
gpu: same
soundcard: same
case: new shiny asus (with no empty drive bays)

Now all I would have to do is transfer my gpu and soundcard to this new pc. Thoughts???

This isn't very good since the A10-5700 has integrated graphics. In order to run dual graphics with the APU, you need to use a 6670.

Since you're planning on using your 5770, I recommend buying a desktop that uses the i5's integrated graphics since you'll get more performance out of your CPU compared to an APU.

Desktops using the i5 graphics cost around $500-600.
