cp_anomaly

Anomaly is the pro version of cp_michael which has been tested extensively for pub use on TF2Maps servers. Before going to beta I wanted to make a version better suited for comp use and ultimately, hopefully get it in a cup or RGL season if it's enjoyable enough.

The map's been played in several low-level pugs but has yet to be tested by higher level pugs or in a team vs team setting. Please feel free to give feedback on anything layout or gameplay related. Textures will come when I move to beta though I may start adding a few before then.

  • Removed one of the trains at last and moved the ramp that leads on top
  • Added a shutter at last to block a sightline from spawn
  • Added walls above chokes to prevent excessive high bombs
  • Fixed a weird corner at mid

  • Removed the catwalk at mid
  • Raised the point area at mid
  • Lowered the rollout house at mid
  • Replaced the dirt brushes with a displacement
  • Lowered the highground entrance to 2nd
  • Moved 2nd away from the main defensive position
  • Simplified the geometry around the ramps on 2nd
  • Removed a wall in the flank between mid and 2nd
  • Removed some cover on 2nd
  • Removed the medium metal pack on 2nd
  • Made last not weirdly rotated to prevent wallbugging
  • Removed the chickenwire fence on last
  • Adjusted the connectors into last
  • Moved the left route into last forward a little
  • Moved back last a little
  • Added flat roofs to more buildings

  • Fixed the forward spawn door triggers being too far back
  • Moved the arrow sign on 2nd back to a handrail

  • Added basic textures to most brushes. Note that I haven't yet cut up the brushes properly so the textures just repeat. This update is mainly to test out a theme and for those people that don't want to play dev textured maps.
