Can any NA peeps recommend some good restaurants in Houston?

I'm here for 2 weeks and have no idea what places are good.

Thanks in advance :)

indian friends sent me to aga's on the west side and good god were they right

i can't emphasize this enough. please go to aga's

the rest of your meals should mostly be tex-mex and bbq, for tex-mex you can't really go wrong even with local chains like chuys and pappasitos. in fact it may be better

for bbq, everyone loves the pit room, personally i will default to luling city market if i only have time for one

The big issue is that Harvey and covid killed a lot of the restaurants on that side of town, but
The "Pappa" brand is really good for seafood and "tex mex"

closer to you, Petit cafe is really good, Impero Italiano is really good as well.

For the most part, most tex mex places you'll go will be more of the same, but since it's still crawfish season you should try and go get some FAST before the season ends in a bit.

I go to college around the Houston area and drive in memorial every day to go to school, if you want more just text me on discord

Chuy's is okay (got em up in Dallas) but you can undoubtedly do better with a local place. Haven't been out to Houston, but if you (or anyone else) ever end up in Dallas, Trompo in Bishop Arts is incredible.
