If you have an xbox account through windows 10 (or possibly on console I don't have one) from what I understand there's a way to link your steam account so that you can add friends who you also have added on steam to your friends list on xbox. Microsoft, being geniuses, you are not told and are automatically opted into sharing your name with friends. I noticed this earlier for one of my friends and had them turn it off you have to go to ur profile then customize then stop sharing name.

Best part is my friend said they used a gmail without their real name in it and it still leaked their real name so that's nice.
