TF.tv redirect

The tf.tv domain name seems to be available, so I thought it'd be cool to have it redirect to teamfortress.tv

Not really a pressing issue, obviously, but just an idea for down the road.

In response to the topic brownymaster linked, this was recently brought up for the purpose of being able to fit "tf.tv/[user's name here]" into their steam name. "______ | teamfortress.tv/______" alone takes up 19 of the 32 characters available for a steam name, meaning only people with a <7 character long alias can fit their alias, a separator, and a link to their profile in their steam name.

It'd just be a nice luxury. If it's overly expensive or too much work (and apparently it is) then it's no biggie to drop it.

tmft.tv?

Or tfort.tv

Not sure how much you could change it without it looking silly.

who actually types full urls?

I type "t" and teamfortress.tv is right below tf2lobby.com

I push 3 buttons (t, down arrow, enter)

that's at best an extremely impractical possibility

the best i can do is teamfortress.tv/u/username

Enigma, it just dawned on me that perhaps this site is costing you money. Is that the case? Do you need donations?

teamfortress.tv is fine i think if you want to generate more hits to the site just talk about it publicly and for any stream just send viewers to the site when you are done streaming

i think it would be nice to promote the crap out of it with extv and whatnot but idk how that would go over

Not sure if the site can handle high load yet. If there's a cache now, nvm. (i46 laggy site since it made thousands of sql queries instead of regurgitating the same stuff).
