Ever since changing to steampipe I freeze while playing. It seems random and and the freezes last anywhere from 3 seconds to a half a second. Its really frustrating to play with. My game also stops responding for ~3 minutes at receiving client info the first time I join a server. I'm not sure if the issues are related.

I'm just wondering if anyone is having this problem too or its just my shitty computer?

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/VPK

just drag the file onto the vpk tool.

It seemed to fix the freezing for the most part but the loading time is still 3 minutes.

If you have all of your custom stuff in 1 folder (HUD, addons, etc.), you need to move the HUD stuff (resource/script folders) into a new custom folder (HUD for example). What you then want to do is move the fonts temporarily outside of the HUD folder into the main custom folder (or anywhere else, it's only temporary). Then drag your HUD folder into the vpk.exe which is located in bin folder in common/Team Fortress 2. Once the VPK is made, remove everything inside the HUD folder, but keep the resource folder and put your fonts back in that folder.

is anyone else getting crazy lag when they're in mge? more specifically weird splash from rockets and delayed hitsounds when using the shotgun?

I'm getting this error in console whenever I use shotgun.

Attempt to set particle collection bullet_shotgun_tracer01_blue to invalid orientation matrix

I've already tried verifying gcf's

Put the .VPK in your .../Team Fortress 2/tf/custom folder and have a folder in .../custom/<HUD NAME> with a "resources" folder in it, containing any custom fonts as Fog outlined. Fixed my stuttering!

i am getting this stutter lag now, after today's update i guess. i tried deleting my hud completely and that didn't fix it... it is pretty much unplayable atm, so if i can't get it fixed I can't really scrim or play matches. any other suggestions?
