Choosing a fucking BTEC National Diploma in Game Design instead of making any sort of sense when going to college.

TheFragileI regret going to college.

I went into college thinking that I want to do something with Psychology, perhaps being a psychotherapist.

I'm a 1st year psychology student.. been thinking about switching too. You happy with going to IT instead?

TF2: I regret not trying to rebuild Wutang Financial. I had a ton of fun playing back then.

Life: No real past regrets, but I do regret that I don't live in a way that represents who I really am as a person. It's not that I'm constantly lying to people, but I don't share my mind with people.

When I played competitive TF2.

Don't get me wrong, the experiences from it was awesome. It's just that I dedicated so much of my free time when I was in high school to TF2 instead of bringing honor to my family in terms of grades and such. I used to sink in 5-6 hours per day for a whole year scrimming or doing DM servers or MGE'ing, whilst neglecting my homework and studies.

I'm currently at University of Hawaii (yay) but if I pushed myself harder in academics I could've gotten accepted to mainland colleges and maybe even have had scholarships so it would've been easier to deal with.

Stopping my Counter-Strike play.

Before Steam recorded your hours played, I had at least 3k+ hours into CS:S and about 500+ into 1.6, playing a good 8 hours a day. I used to be good, at least CAL-M+ level at the time. I stopped playing when I switched to TF2, and as much as I love this game, a huge part of me wishes I never quit playing. I feel like, at the skill level I was at all those years, if I continued to play to this day, I'd be on a respectable team going to tourneys. I wouldn't be knocking NiP around, but god damn it'd be fun to try, but now I'll never really know.

In life regrets however, going to DeVry. Not only was the college honestly worse then my previous tech center, but I quickly realized I wanted to go to a Career college/trade school instead. My Dyscalculia made the math courses impossible, and only half a year into it my apartment was flooded and I had to drop out anyway, losing a chance at higher education and having to move back home.

Also, DeVry just kinda sucks in general. Also, I loved Chicago, but finding a job was impossible. I remember going to McDonalds for a one dollar burger because I was hungry and broke, and saw the 4 different people in front of me all spoke different languages, and the cashier spoke every one of them back with easy. At that point I knew I was pretty fucked anyway.

Listening to the career guidance I got in high school. I was told for years to be an engineer by teachers, tests, and family. When I entered college I went immediately into engineering and tried nothing else. I didn't take and "fun classes" or even humanities until my junior year and absolutely hated all my main studies. I guess in the end I guess I powered through, I left with a piece of paper, and found a job I don't hate but I really wonder what I missed out on. Above all I miss performing music and have lost a vast majority of those skills. It has been 5 years since I have performed and I miss it often.

As far as TF2 I regret still being a shitlord that barely plays this game sober anymore and hasn't been on a team in over 2 years or something.
