Razer Carcharias problem

I have been using these Carcharias for a good number of months now with absolutely no issue ever. But today I put them on when I got home from work and the mic is poop. I think I have narrowed down the problem to being related to the mic switch on the actual headset cord, but I'm not sure. I just have this picture in my head that something is loose inside there or something, however I have no proof of that.

Things I've tried:
-Restarting computer
-Unplugging and plugging headset
-Smacking headset

If any of you have had problems with mic switches on headsets before- is there a reliable way to stabilize those kinds of problems?

did you check if it was a setting you changed by accident relating to your mic or sound input?

Yes I did. It's definitely the hardware in this tiny area. Looks like I'll be dissecting a headset tomorrow..

Open input devices and go to your microphone's properties. Find the tab that has a bunch of effects like noise cancellation for example. Uncheck all of those, or whichever number of them are checked if any. Make sure the volume for the mic is on 100% and if it's still too quiet, try using mic boost. You can also try different jacks.

basically what i am saying, happened to me when i had my p11's for my pc. i had to turn up the volume on them because the boost was down. also my laptop mic was selected not my headset.

i think the connections in that headset r really flimsy or something cuz i had a pair and after like a few weeks one side of the headphone stopped working (first would work a bit if i jiggled the cord then eventually stopped entirely)

too bad cuz its the most comfortable headset i've used b4
