esea client causing lagging

When I join ESEA league servers with the client, my game lags (as in connection lag) every time I move or swing a weapon. I get "Connection Problem" and a huge spike in my net_graph. I thought I had fixed the issue by lowering my rate but it appears to be back. My connection is absolutely fine without the client; is there any fix to this?

Also I heard that having the right CL_interp makes it more bearable (0.01 I believe).

I'll mess around with my interp (I use cl_interp 0.033). Planning on testing before the match, thx for the response.

I was dealing with terrible lag in ESEA server and following the directions in the video cleared them right up.
