just buy a server from https://www.tragicservers.com/ ,put a password on it and set the map to mge

considering you just want to play MGE privately (which is already a one-off mode), it's way cheaper (if not completely free) to temporarily rent a server via http://na.serveme.tf/

If you wanna just make a LAN mge server with friends or for whatever reason you want your own server, all you need is a regular tf2 server, the MGE map, AND plugin. As far as I know, that's all you need.

Making your own server is quite a bit confusing as there are no good guides out there, I would just recommend renting one from serveme.tf
