Don't forget to get paid up and encourage your friends to make a team! I have some freemium so if you think they deserve you can send them to me. I'm super stingy with it but if they really need it, I'll give a bit.

Also, congratz to vector for making it into Invite.

I'm fairly new to ESEA, do you have to pay for premium as well as the entry fee?

To be considered "paid", you just need to have your league fee paid but to play matches you need both. To clarify, when registration closes you only need league fees paid.

Ah, alright thanks. So couldn't people just pay for premium when they were about to have a match and end up paying a lot less?

Well it'd pretty much come out to the same thing since it's a little less than 3 months with 8 weeks of play.

so by that time all the team has to have 6 players, so all the speculation will come to an end in 4 days?

I clicked to pay my team fee, but it's stuck in "Not Paid" limbo and it says I can try again in an hour.

I get this - Your payment cannot be completed because the following users have either already paid, or are in the process of paying: TF2Moose

I never submitted payment details, I'm guessing it's assuming the same Payment information that I used to pay for Premium?

What can I do?

That means you started your payment process but didn't complete. You should be fine after waiting an hour.

I'm still a little confused. Do you have to have premium to pay for league fees? Or are they the same thing? And where do you go to pay for the league fees? And are those the ones where you pay to be in a certain division, like open or IM?

My account says I have premium until December first. Am I good or do I still need to pay for something?

Yo do not need to have premium to pay for league fees, though you do have to be premiumed up before the server is assigned for your match or something. You pay for league fees by clicking on the "League" tab and clicking "Register and Pay." You pay for premium by clicking Play Now, but you have it until December 1st, which means that most likely your premium will expire a few days after December 1st, unless you have your premium on paypal subscription or something similar. Yes, league fees are the fees you pay to register and play officially in IM / Open, etc. Premium is used to play in pugs, use the other features of esea, and is one of the other steps to playing in a match.

To summarize: No they are not the same thing; you can just pay league fees for now, but must be premium to play a match.

Ok so, League fees is what you pay once to play in that league (it's different amounts for open, IM, Invite) This is what the 6 people need paid to be placed in your league.

Premium is paid monthly. You need to this play in matches and ESEA pugs. This must be paid before your first match, or you will not be able to play.

Just remember if you're going to pay your premium or league fees with anything other than paypal, it could take a while to process. Paypal is almost instant.

1. Pay only the league fees before registrations ends.
2. Pay Premium at least 3 days before your first match to avoid issues with delayed payments.
3. It's cheapest to pay for 3 months premium and just cancel before the 3 months comes up. It'll cover the season and playoffs.

Thank you kindly, but I have one more...

I don't have the option to pay, I'm stuck on step 2: create, join, or choose a team. Does that mean I have to have decided what team I'm playing on, and join it before I can pay the league fee? I'm still waiting to hear back from a tryout so I'm not 100% sure where I'm gonna be playing yet.

you don't have to worry about league fees until you're on a team, and then if they don't have 6 paid they will need to get you paid up before the deadline to save their team.

aimOh. Another question how does freemium work?

If someone gives you premium for free, we squish the two words together.

24 hours are left in registration.

There are currently 94 TF2 teams between the divisions. As long as we do not lose more than 10 of those teams we will have our biggest season yet. Our biggest season was season 11 with 83 teams.
