The Orange stream has been pretty much dominating the other ESEA streams today. I hope ESEA and Twitch are taking note.

Let's see if we can get even more viewers for the last few games. Spread the word!

At the end of the day I'll see if we can get lange to screen cap the viewership graphs. It's been 1.6-2.4k most of the day.

We aren't even frontpaged and we have more viewers than the other 2 streams combined.

Well, it's like a difference of 10, but it's still significant as we aren't frontpaged.

Bear in mind that the front page changes randomly every 5 minutes. We've had front page and so have the other streams. Ultimately TF2 > CS. :D

Why would we be taking note? I've been pushing TF2 for the last 5 months. Viewership has grown well over 400% and the retention on TF2 streams is absurdly high.

I got you dawg.

Oh I feel bad now :( I only meant to point out that the Orange stream is beating the other ESEA streams despite not being front-paged as regularly as the Blue stream.

ESEA might be paying for Blue and Green to be frontpaged.

There's a large pool of front paged channels today with BWC and stuff. Sucks that TF2 wasn't there more, but that also shows that the community is strong enough that it doesn't really matter.

Hopefully we can bring in some more pubbers to watch the final match :)

John's involvement is probably one of the biggest and best things to happen in a while, alongside this site being put up. We owe a lot of thanks to you in my eyes, Twitch.tv is obviously one of the biggest names in esports and the fact that we're getting favoritism is pretty damn cool.

It's not favoritism at all. Sure, TF2 is one of my favorite games of all time. However, that is not enough for me to throw the support at it like I do. I do it because passionate content is the best content. It's very easy to see the passion in VTV and all of the guys at eXtv. With passion comes quality.

Doesn't hurt that the community is pretty solid too.

Of course there's disease around these parts too, but in general, people are fairly nice. Most communities won't have the top players sitting in mixes with random brand new players trying to help them get better. Find another game where that kind of stuff is provided without charging $100 an hour.

The feel-good thing about all this is that TF2 is not an easy game to put on a show like this with. Sure, it's an amazing game to look at... but it's tough to play on PCs even by today's standards, it's even harder to stream, and it requires twelve people to show up plus two or three people involved in the stream. It's not like it's a game that facilitates broadcasting. Yet we're still alive and kicking and getting awesome numbers like it's no sweat.

So shoutout to everyone involved... the players, the streamers, the casters and the viewers (new and old).

This right there. I can't say how many invite players have showed up at my request to newbie mixes, and how many have showed up without me even asking. When br0 did their event, hero, alfa and others showed up also. That kind of support is really good and I think if we keep making it easy to get into 6v6 we can not only expand viewership but also participation in pay leagues.
