huds don't make that much of a difference just use whatever you like i mean it's like single digit fps difference
at the time rayshud was the best for fps so use that or something idk

Is there any benchmark that shows that mat_phong 0 decreases fps? (Using it with dx 9).

it doesn't decrease fps. mat_phong 0 takes away the shine, giving you more fps.

To begin with, go to comanglias other thread instead of bumping this older one. You should find what you're looking for there.
Try the "max fps for mid quality PCs" autoexec file and paste it into your autoexec.
