Confirmed. I now no longer need -nod3d9ex to use mumble overlay or capture my game on stream.

Except there is supposedly new "unusual" effects, which probably drops the FPS another 30.

I have not tried fullscreen (yet) but overlay works in windowed. The overlay font is extremely distorted for me.

I haven't changed any settings in my launch options and I have been using the same autoexec/fps config since before the update and it was fine and looked like this

It's only happened since the update and I'm not sure how to fix it :/ I feel like I'm playing in dx8 now but I havent changed my launch options off dx9 so I'm not sure :/

It works fine for me since the halloween update. I run in dx8 and borederless window.

Depends on your hardware, but if you use 9, it's "-dxlevel 95" if you use 8 it's "-dxlevel 81"
