I don't think I'll bother with the beta if pre-ordering is required. I have my hopes up for the game considering who's developing it, but I'd rather be cautious anyway.

If there's anyone to have you doubt not having to pre-order in order to access the beta, it's just EA and not Respawn. Let's not forget most of the current Respawn team worked on the CoD games that weren't below average/bad.

Just what I read. Didn't look much into it considering it's already not on any PlayStation, which kills potential sales enough.

That's coz EA signed an exclusivity agreement with MS for the very first game. They also get shit loads of money to make up for it so the sales don't matter as much.

Origin is actually better than Steam now in many respects, and you can just run it through Steam and get the Steam overlay still. So...I dunno.

I have to use Origin for a couple of games I have (either exclusive or I have more content from sales on it) and it's honestly not as bad as I expected, I've only had some issues with purchasing and redeeming during high-traffic periods but same goes for Steam
If anything it's just a hassle to need a secondary client for a handful of games but it's not a dealbreaker

origin is just so unnecessary, you could make the argument that "steam needs a competitor" and that kind of thing but origin isnt that competitor lol. they should have just used steam, i dont want tons of game clients installed on my computer when i can just have one.
