Hi guys, I'm at the point where pubs are such a grind and aren't fun to play and I want to up my game and get into comp. But the problem is I'm not very good. I've been trying to improve (I can beat people scout v scout 75% in MGE, but my movement and scout v solly is shit, My rockets are shit aswell) I've also been doing lobbies and do DECENT in them, but they aren't giving me the urge for competitiveness. I want to be good enough to do pug NAs atleast, and I don't have the time for a team during the school year. So what should I do? A ton of MGE? More lobbies? Noobie Mixes? (I have ~600hrs total. 60 on scout, 50 soldier, and 40 on demo) I want to improve my DM and overall understanding of the game.

Thanks!

I'd recommend just sticking with DM/MGE, and newbie mixes for now. Maybe find a group of friends that like to play the comp format as well and do pugs with them. Eventually you'll feel comfortable enough to add up in pug.na.

Join small pug groups. Make friends who pug often and you'll get invited a lot.

http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Pwrpugs
^-- I was invited to join this and get spammed messages all day so I'm sure you could join them any day... and any time of the day...

no this is dumb, its not like he would be building up to anything. invite players don't flood to pug na like they did a long time ago. its a mix of players on every level so he shouldn't be discouraged. play the newbie mixes, find people to play with, do pug na and the tf2mix. watch more streams etc. just gotta be dedicated, have patience, and take criticism well
