Downloading maps from servers

For some reason, when I connect to a server, it just says that it's missing the map and doesn't download it. Anybody know how to fix this for maps that don't show up elsewhere?

And yes, I do have the setting that actually says I should be able to download maps from servers.

Yeah, but there are some maps that can't be found online, particularly when pubbing.

Not all servers provide automatic downloads, and every map can be found online, you just have to search a little harder.

that usually means that the server that has that custom map doesn't have fast download enabled for that map. basically nothing you can do about it unless you find a download of it and do it manually

if you need any maps uploaded just list them, I do have most popular maps and a decent amount of the newer custom ones.

Try changing your default browser to Internet Explorer if it isn't already. I had the same problem before and that helped me.

I've had this problem since using cl_downloadfilter "mapsonly". Try changing this cvar.
