[Build] Cheap Non Gaming Desktop

So I need to make a desktop NOT for gaming.

I'm looking for 16gb RAM and a decent processor.

Graphics card doesn't need to be too powerful.

Its more a work desktop than a gaming one, multiple virtual machines will be running at a time.

So any suggestions? OS needs to be bought (win7 professional) but no accessories (monitor, keyboard, etc)

600-800 Budget, lower the better

(sorry for all of the computer build spam)

Not sure why you would need a graphics card. Also, there is a bit that could be saved by downgrading the case (probably ~$20 before you get into truly shitty cases), as well as decreasing the other parts' qualities.

How is this build?

Are there any compatibility problems?

Couldn't you cut costs by running Linux natively and running vms from that?

Why don't you want Windows 7 Home Premium or even Windows 8? Would save you ~$30.

These builds have SSDs, which are A LOT faster than HDDs (HDD is also included). PSU is 80 PLUS gold certified so it's more power efficient.

You probably won't need a dedicated graphics card.

How many VMs are you going to run on that? (aka do you need an i7/Xeon or is an i5 enough)

Are you going to/do you want to use vPro/Vt-d/TET? (aka do you need Q87 or not)

After you answered those two questions it should be easier to find the right processor and mainboard for you. If you want/need an i7/Xeon or an Q87 mobo a SSD probably won't fit into your budget anymore.
