now to wait for a real port for mother 3

I've always wanted to play it, though I don't have a WiiU :( . Coincidentally I asked tagg about it earlier today too:

Aww fuck. The only thing that's turn based about it is the battle sequences. It's a very funny and great game, I'm not usually a sucker for turn based battle games but this one got to me because the text is hilarious to read. The enemy variety is also really bizarre. You fight hippies, snakes, ants, miniature UFOs, and paintings, among other things(it gets much weirder).

I personally liked Mother 3 better, but me and my brother are going to pick it up on our Wii U when we get home from our trip in a few weeks.

Fantastic game/series.

My favorite game. If it's anyone's first time playing: ignore all the "hype" and just stick with it for a while, it takes some time to get going. Even by today's standards I'd consider it highly playable (albeit largely due to its personality, though the battle mechanics are kind of interesting too..)

I'd buy it just to get Nintendo to consider an official English release of Mother 3, unfortunately I don't own a Wii U.

I just hope they didn't change any of the quirky things to satisfy the non-fun people. I did enjoy the battle mechanics immensely though.

They only changed the stuff that violated copyrights. Like The Beatles stuff, some music that the road band did etc.

Whoops it is Mother 1, my dad got it from his old friend and I finally beat it 4 years ago since I can't understand a damn word. I also got Mother2/Earthbound at a thirft store for my Snes some time ago
