#1 CS:GO update for 5/23/22 (5/24/22 UTC, 1.38.3.2) in CS2 General Discussion

Via the CS:GO blog:

Valve[ANTWERP 2022]
– Antwerp 2022 Champions Autograph Capsules are now available for purchase. 50% of the proceeds go to the participating players and organizations.

[ MISC ]
– Various Steam Input improvements.
– FlickStick tweaks – turning is dampened when joystick is returning to the deadzone.
– Fixes for silencer equip/unequip.
– Added Acceleration and Precision options for Gyro.
– Gyro Camera is now set up to use 1:1 world rotation to in game rotation as a foundation, as opposed to arbitrary units. This is calibrated around the assumption that the “Gyro Camera” binding in the Steam Input Configurator is set to maximum sensitivity (600) (New Official bindings have been updated to use this).
– Removed “Quick Buy” radials from default controller bindings.
– Fixed Steam Input “Health Shot” command.
– Added short fade-in for Radial Menus. This does not change/delay any underlying behavior.

Rumor has it:

- (Spoiler Alert!) Available for US$1/CA$1.25 for an unspecified limited time, the PGL Antwerp 2022 Champions Autograph Capsule commemorates the winners,

Show Content
FaZe Clan!

- Each variant is viewable as follows:
- rain (Champion), Glitter, Holo, Gold
- karrigan (Champion), Glitter, Holo, Gold
- Twistzz (Champion), Glitter, Holo, Gold
- broky (Champion), Glitter, Holo, Gold
- ropz (Champion), Glitter, Holo, Gold
- and if there's a particular sticker that catches your eye, CS:GO Stash has shortcuts to both in-game inspection links as well as Steam Community Market links too

- For the time being, all of the rest of the stickers remain available for sale at the same price, and just like PGL Stockholm 2021, it's unknown when these stickers will go off sale, so get them before they're gone

- In addition to the Champions Autograph Capsule, the Antwerp 2022 button now contains the results as well as the winning squad when hovering over the name of the champions (Spoiler Alert!)
- However, replays continue to remain unavailable as the game still claims they've "expired", even for the main event matches within the last few days

- New inscriptions have been made on both the in-game Quarter-/Semi-/Finalist as well as the Champion trophy with the same names:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hXBW2zqwIDA

- These trophies have already been distributed to eligible participants' inventories

- A bit of VACnet work had surfaced in this update, including a few profiles where some type of anti-tampering is being enforced by default, some of which are real developers, others seem to be dummy accounts
- But it appears it wasn't meant to be seen, as it was stripped out in update #2

- While the map updates make up the majority of this update's size, don't discount a small helping of localization file updates for a few languages, made possible with the help of contributions from Translators Like You - Thank You

- Size is close to 300 MB

Rumor has it:

- A lot has changed in the world since the last update, but Translators Like You (- Thank You) continue to work their magic to help put together some updated localization files

- This is just the 2nd update to occur in 2022 so far. A new 2nd-longest drought of 82 days (from 1/5/22 through to today) has been brought to an end with this update

- The old 2nd-longest drought now becomes 3rd-longest, which was an 80 day stretch from 1/18/20 to 4/7/20

- The first half of the year has been prone to repetitive droughts in recent years. By this point in 2021, 2 updates had also been released (the next on 6/22/21 ended the record-long drought of 112 days). By this point in 2020, 1 update was released (the next not until 4/7/20). And by this point in 2019, 4 updates had been released

– Various default binding changes for controllers only. Quick Buy radial menus are triggered with the D-Pad and Bumper Buttons while the BuyZoneLayer is active.
– Simplified set of Radial Action Override Layers. By default, the right stick is used to control the radial. If XYAB are bound to a radial button, the left stick is used instead.

– Danger Zone Controller Support: Fixed Spawn Menu Controls. Fixed Drone strafing.

[ UI ]
Note to “radial_quickinventory.txt” users: you can set “cl_quickinventory_filename” to point to a different file name in the same directory.
– radial_quickinventory.txt: added “ROTATION_OFFSET” field, which will rotate the entire radial by the given number of degrees.

Rumor has it:

- CS:GO Stash has put up the contents of The Boardroom Sticker Capsule here. If there's something that catches your eye, inspection and Steam Community Market links are close by too

- Use of radio commands intended for bots is no longer possible according to several reports, which means an end to climaxing through spamming "deathcry" in console or through a bound key
- However if you're a community server operator who didn't mind their players "spraying all over the server", "sv_playerradio_use_allowlist" has been added in and can be set to 0 to restore the old behavior if really passionate "death cries" are desired

- This update is mostly what-you-see-above-is-what-you-get. With that said, there's also a decently sized set of new and updated translations, which are made possible with the help of contributions from Translators Like You - Thank You

- Size is close to 60 MB
