#16 Comms that make a 6s mumble terrible in TF2 General Discussion
I'm so bad.

And this piece of comedy gold:

Look at this idiot bombing for no reason. He's so dumb.

Meanwhile it was the roamer making a distraction while both your scouts get picked by the combo.

I've opened up my buddy list. Sorry about that if anyone wasn't able to add me.

#1 Pocket/Medic LFT S14 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Hey everyone.

From my understanding, the members of Wu-Tang Financial have all decided for the most part that we'll test out free-agency and trial for a few other teams this off-season. It was a good two season run with the current iteration of players.

Depending on the results of Sunday's match, my time as the captain of this team will end with either an 18-14 or 19-13 record over two seasons. We've done a wonderful job of recovering from a horror story opening to put together some of the most rewarding experiences that I've had as a player yet.

------

To Boggy, clam, zigzter, ts, pascal, and crossfire: Thank you. You could have given up on me at 0-4, but instead you gave me the chance to turn this team around and show real fight down the stretch. I know that a few of you may want to thank me for giving you a starting role during your early "formative" phase, but the reality is that you were all good enough anyway and deserved it. I'm sad that it's come to a peaceful end, but I consider my sadness as proof that this was worthwhile. While it was "too little/too late" in a very tough Open season (compared to most), it was a rewarding experience to see a pack of disconnected individuals come together and finally begin to play as a functional team at the very end.

Let's go out on Sunday and play one last game to remember this team by.

------

Back to business:

Experience (full ESEA seasons only):

S7 kobra-kai dojo - 8-8 (all medic)
S12 Wu-Tang Financial - 9-7 (7-4 as pocket)
S13 Wu-Tang Financial - 9-7 (9-3 as pocket)

My pocketing record of 16-7 isn't that shameful - although I've had some good teammates help me out down the stretch. I didn't win a thing that they didn't do for me.

I will also try out as medic as well, since I've been pugging that a decent bit lately and I've always found it to be very enjoyable.

One last thing: I will also consider the option of rebuilding Wu-Tang Financial. If you'd be interested in helping me (and maybe a few of the current members) out in this endeavor please message or add me whenever. I'd like to keep all options open right now.

Thanks.

#143 FITES LAN Field Day Feb22-24 in TF2 General Discussion

I believe that the ultiduo tournament resumes at 1:30. I'm not sure if it's being streamed by eXtine as some of the earlier matches were.

#4 clam scout s14 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Clam is a young scout that has room to grow. Finishing with a winning record in your first season of Open is always a good sign. He just needs to work on positioning and when to retreat a little bit more. His personality is also very nice.

#7 Roamer lft S14 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Very creative player. Does an unholy amount of damage for a roaming soldier. He was much more effective as the season wore on.

I can only recommend him. He's a very big reason why Wu-Tang Financial lasted two whole seasons.

I actually mis-spoke last night when I said Wu-Tang Financial and Just The Tip were out. The winner of that match has ONE possible clinching situation - although for Just The Tip may be a round or two short anyway.

Here's the scenario for the WINNER of that matchup:

1. Pre-game callers > Toon Gang, AND
2. Tonight's Entertainment > Pre-game callers, AND
3. Playground Tactics >>>> Toon Gang (can't be a close match), AND
4. The Peppercock Family >>>> Zaboomacrew (must be 5-1 or the rounds don't work), AND
5. Evil Villain is Lemons must lose ONE of their last two.

#1 isn't likely. #2 is very likely. #3 is a 50/50 bet considering Playground Tactics are going to play hard for the 2nd seed. #4 might be the right result, but the rounds probably won't be there. #5 is a 30-50% proposition.

#10 Shiki (Soldier LFT/Back Up) in Recruitment (looking for team)

Give Shiki - and the entire roster of Foobar - some serious credit. It would have been VERY easy for them to pack it up at 2-6 and say "fuck it I'm done". At the very least we can all say that he has the determination and toughness to grow. The framework is there for him to make a run at the playoffs in S14.

I was in his shoes last season. I can only give this guy some props, as I know all too well how easy it can be to quit. +1.

Wu-Tang Financial and Just the Tip have been eliminated. They both needed help from top open teams - and didn't get any.

DJINNOCIDE, despite a loss to Wu-Tang Financial, are VERY much alive due to a good RF (49 + 5 more possible).

The bubble has shrunk down to 20.

About to watch BIG BOYS vs. Slippin' with Slipz.

I'm interested in seeing what the BIG BOYS soldiers can do in this match. They're both quite aggressive and explosive when they're on good form. Both pairs of scouts are about even with each other in my opinion. I have a feeling that bsc's crew will be able to steal enough rounds to advance to the postseason in this match.

mustardoverlordI might have to beg for my eseanews admin back, but should I write some articles about standout players in open/IM

I feel like player profiles are kinda lacking

Why not just post your thoughts here? That's what most of us have been doing thus far.

Bubble Watch Update:

1. Currently 22 teams are mathematically alive for the postseason. The cut-line is at Just The Tip, who are 9-6 with the potential to get 48 RF at the end of the season. 47 RF will likely be the absolute minimum number of rounds needed to make the playoffs. It is currently too murky of a picture at the moment to call what the clear dividing line will be.

2. Wu-Tang Financial vs. Just the Tip is an elimination game. The loser is officially eliminated. The winner, however, will need some degree of help to advance to the postseason at 10-6. A 5-round Wu-Tang win puts them at 10-6 and 50 RF - which is DIRECTLY on the razor's edge.

3. For the second straight season there is a REALLY good chance of a tiebreaker game being used for the 16th and final spot.

4. TIME IS NOW could likely eliminate a few teams (and make it themselves) with a win to end the season. Unfortunately, they're playing The Crunchy Bunch - which is the #2 seed in Open. If they can win that game, then there can be no complaints about them making it this season.

5. Last night, seven teams were eliminated. A few of which did win themselves - but they simply didn't get the OTHER results they needed and have no way of securing the ~50 rounds needed for the postseason. The bubble is tighter, now - but it is WAY more complicated as there are at LEAST a dozen realistic permutations that could exist.
