#11 S14 Team lf Sollys+Medic in Recruitment (looking for team)

reilly is a sweetheart. He's also one of the more level-headed people in this community that's an important trait for any team captain. Sinval and sweet_tooth are both underrated players that were hurt by a little bit of roster instability at the end of this past season. I think most decent open soldiers will grow up a ton alongside their "core", but most important issue on this team will be finding a decent medic that can read a game properly and call halftime adjustments.

My personal opinion? They are a competent medic away from 12 wins next season. Best wishes.

#11 Looking for players! High open +++ in Recruitment (looking for team)

DrGilburt was a very nice person when I played with him (which I believe was in a pug a while back), and he also has some pretty good skills to boot. I've heard nothing but good things about Sauce6 from different people in the community.

Good luck, guys. I hope you find the medic you're looking for.

#73 What's your job, TF.TV? in Off Topic
Applesauz2nd year of being a Geography major, I work the front desk in my dorm. Front desk sells sodas, pizzas, other snacks, and juice. Along with sorting the mail.

I'm most likely going to focus on learning GIS software, as it's what I find interesting.

Oh, and blog I made for class that has maps I made: http://thompspm.wordpress.com/

I need to update that with some I made this semester

What school do you go to?

I'm looking to enter into this program at NC State: http://gis.ncsu.edu/academic.php

IF my grades are excellent and I fall in love (with the field), I'm hoping to go here (and would have to live there for the time being): geo.msu.edu/acad_prog/phdreq.html

Another option would be ceegs.ohio-state.edu/GSGRADUATE/phd.php if I wanted to go into geodetic science, but the problem here is that there would be a fuckload of classes that I'd have to take.

Master's in Architecture. Currently working for a construction company as a Jr. Estimator.

Going to return to school (online) for graduate study in the field of GIS (Geographic Information Systems). I'm hoping to work for the federal government as a cartographer once that's done, and then if I earn my doctorate then just MAYBE I can become a professor teaching GIS/cartographic study to Architecture/Geography majors.

#27 Season 14 Open Team LF Players in Recruitment (looking for team)

I've enjoyed pugging with Rill, okie, and alec this past season. I imagine that they'll combine to form a pretty good team next season (they've known each other for a while). They're quite fun to be around once you get to know them. They're also quite talented and will probably be good enough to make next season's playoffs. Wish you the best.

#5 crossfire LFT S14/cevo/HL in Recruitment (looking for team)

Great teammate of mine for the past two seasons. He will really blossom this coming season.

Has a decent enough of a shot to take on the utility chores as well. Good luck in the event that Wu-Tang doesn't exist next season.

#38 Open Playoff Analysis - The Editor's Cut in TF2 General Discussion
mustardoverlordlondon_callingmustardoverlordI'm wondering if I should attempt one of these for IM

EDIT: MAYBE SOMEONE WANTS TO HELP ME WITH THAT???

dude, this took so much time. i mean you would have to do it for 8 teams that you already know a lot about, so i guess for IM it would be marginally easier. honestly, you're the guy for the job though. radium and i each did 8 teams and it took us roughly a week to do these. i'd offer to help but i really havent followed IM teams as closely as i should have this season. i know roughly whats been going on and have watched matches but thats about it.

i think you should though. all the divisions deserve some kind of coverage, esp since there wont be any invite tf2 until LAN.

yeah, I'm not asking for writeup help from you/radium, just formatting help (the snazzy pdf file and stuff)

although I wouldnt mind writing help from another IM player...?

The formatting for this writeup took me no longer than 30 mins to pull off. If you re-add me I will help publish your completed writing into an acceptable format. Keep in mind that I'm going to also forward a pastebin file to enigma in the event that he wants your content on the news tab of his site.

#15 S14 team looking for players in Recruitment (looking for team)

Wonderful people to play with. I would recommend this team for a budding mid-open player that intends on spending two seasons or so to allow himself time to grow.

#32 Roamer LFT S14 mid open in Recruitment (looking for team)

Played with him last night. He never gave me one second of lip or arrogance. The only complaints I have are just some minor things he could tweak in his game.

As for the "wants to win too much" thing: You damn well better have a little bit of constructive fire in your belly (even if you're not an in-your-face kind of guy), or can expect nothing more than a 5-11 record next season in Open. This is competitive gaming - and everyone has their times when they can be critical of others.

#26 Open Playoff Analysis - The Editor's Cut in TF2 General Discussion
BioBy the way, I play scout and walka is roamer still. Walka was just gone for 1 match so we switched some classes up.

Yeah, I was wondering that myself. You both are able to do both roles, so it was a bit of a ? in my opinion.

Walka's jumps are going to be fun. I'll update this during my next edit.

Fixed the errors about page cut-offs. Also fixed the nyvves/fuzion name error - good catch, typhus.

#1 Open Playoff Analysis - The Editor's Cut in TF2 General Discussion

Okay guys, after some long hours over the midnight oil London_Calling and I have finally come up with an acceptable "first run". Attached below are writeups on every playoff Open team.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/1r8qdx

Download the .pdf write-up from this link, and let me know what your thoughts on it were. If there are any pieces of advice you'd give me for future writeups in S14 do not be hesitant to give them out here as well. Competitive TF2 writing should not be one individual writer dictating what is broadcast into the internet, but rather a communicative and collaborative effort involving more than one writer/editor. Furthermore, I hope this write-up can help get more people into the lower ESEA levels so that we continue to have a steady build-up of new talent into the community.

Thanks for the support and interest into our work.

enigma - I don't know you, but if editing needs to be done to move this into the news column, let me know what has to happen and I'll get it done.
